ya wad a day !i was stunned tt mayflower players play like pros i so envey them ! but it will take loads of time to reach to their standard at this time but i think nadia will be able to make it !she is really good . man, im all out for the day . all the songs they play were great but when i read along as they play i started to get dizzy as if i was goin outta control . but the ppl there were great . wish we can combine with them again. *(^.^)*
wow wad a day today!!! it was fun when we meet up new frends in the mayflower sec sch hehheh... i oso made new frends like the ppl in hua yi n mayflower in trombone section only the girls only the boys trombonist they weren't even frendly but anyway the girls were frendly n the were fantastic they played the trombone like they were already trombonist when they were small OMG!!! they were really good i asked one of them she said she only join band when she sec2 n this year she is oso sec2 OMG i was wondering if i have her half talents WOW i will be a good player hehhehx^^ but anyway i am soooooooooooo sorry nad 4 making ur rubber tingy drop ^^ please juniors post somtings in this journal it looks empty without post but please don rite comments on other ppl post they might feel paiseh if the made a mistake in the post tats all i have to say n if u all forgot or don have the juournal password please ask from me or vivienne thank you ^^ gtg now bb

The School Band started in 2003.
Its ability has grown since then.
The band has been actively participating and performing in events like the Annual Speech and Prize-giving Day, National Day celebration and Teachers' Day celebration.
The band participated in the Singapore Youth Festival in 2005 and 2009 and received the bronze award.

Mr Tan A.K.
Began his musical experience as a pianist when he was in primary school.
He began playing the trumpet when he joined his secondary school's band, under the guidance from members of the British Royal Marine Band.
The young enthusiastic trumpeter has never looked back since.
For over 30 years, Mr. Tan has performed extensively as 1st chair/lead trumpeter in various concert bands, symphony orchestras, jazz ensembles, brass ensembles & studio recordings.
In year 2000, he branched into full-time band music education & music conducting, With vast, diverse experience and knowledge, Mr. Tan has been actively performing and involved in the music education scene, both locally as well as overseas.
Mr. Tan has served as the President of the Singapore Wind Symphony and is currently an Executive Council Member of the Band Directors' Association of Singapore.
Mr. Tan currently directs Singapore Wind Symphony Youth Winds, Hua Yi Secondary School Concert Band, Mayflower Secondary School Concert Band & Christ Church Secondary School Band.
